As College of Marin turns one hundred, we have a rare opportunity to secure the future of student support—permanently. A portion of the annual earnings funds vital services—emergency grants, food access, transportation, childcare—while the principal remains intact, growing over time. Students who walk through our doors ten, twenty, and fifty years from now will benefit from the generosity of this moment.
The cost of living continues to rise. Financial instability is increasingly forcing students to leave school—not because they lack ability or ambition, but because a system that doesn't account for the real cost of living in Marin leaves everyday barriers unaddressed.
If we meet this moment, students will stay, complete their education, and launch into stronger futures. Families will gain stability. Employers will gain talent. Marin will gain leaders. And through a permanent endowment, this impact will continue for generations.
Every year, hundreds more transfer to top universities, launch careers, and become the workforce and leadership Marin depends on. For sixty years, the Foundation has been building a floor beneath students so they can reach toward new ceilings. Last year alone, we provided more than $2.3 million in scholarships and direct support.
